Immune System Function Linked to Degenerative Neurological Conditions

Immune System, Immunity, Degenerative Neurological ConditionsMedical science is an ever-improving field. Modern technology has made it possible for researchers to discover things that were never before observable. Advanced imaging techniques have resulted in a recent study that has created waves in the medical community.

According to the research, published in June 2015, The immune system has been linked to the progression of numerous degenerative neurological conditions including:

  • Parkinson’s disease
  • Alzheimer’s disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis

The problem with many of these conditions is brought on by excess inflammation which is an immune response from the lymphatic system. Even other conditions like diabetes are affected by this kind of inflammation.

At 1st Place Chiropractic, we take a unique approach to treating neurological conditions naturally. By using the NUCCA technique to correct atlas misalignments, brain function is maximized and the central nervous system and immune systems can work together properly.

Research shows that atlas misalignment can result in obstructed blood flow to the brain. It can also restrict the flow of cerebrospinal fluid and cause pressure to build up as a result. Also, this inhibits the brain’s ability to clean house and get rid of toxins that may affect neurological function. An upright MRI has been used to observe this phenomenon in patients who experienced neck trauma.

By diagnosing and treating atlas misalignments, we strive to restore the proper flow of cerebrospinal fluid and blood, thereby restoring normal central nervous and immune system function. As a result, symptoms of degenerative conditions may be reduced, and progression of the conditions may be slowed or stopped.
