How to Cope with Post-Concussion Syndrome in St. Charles Illinois

Whiplash, Neck Pain, Post-Concussion Syndrome, PSC, ConcussionIn an article that was published a few years ago, there was an interesting discussion of a 23-year-old girl who was suffering from post-concussion syndrome. This came about after she had slipped and fell. The article was in the Journal of Upper Cervical Research and was published in 2011. It reveals some interesting facts that anyone suffering from a fall should consider.

The girl mentioned above began having episodes of vertigo and frequent headaches that had gone on for 5 months after her fall. She sought out the care of an upper cervical chiropractor. Her headaches were not a new symptom; however, they were happening more often than previously. The positional vertigo was a new symptom since her fall.

Her examination by the upper cervical chiropractor revealed that she did indeed have a misalignment in the upper two bones of her neck, and her leg length was different, one being longer than the other. Her upper cervical chiropractor made the needed adjustments on that very first visit, and she immediately began to feel better. Her symptoms disappeared. An x-ray taken at this point revealed that her alignment had improved. The next day, at her examination, it was revealed that her neck spasms had subsided, and the difference in her leg length had now become even.

She continued to see the upper cervical chiropractor twice a month for the next several months to keep things in alignment and improving. She stated that her vertigo had completely gone away, and her headaches had a definite decrease in frequency.

Her recovery was entirely due to the fact that she made the decision to see an upper cervical chiropractor. This is a step in the right direction for anyone suffering from headaches, vertigo, post-concussion syndrome, and a variety of other health issues. A tiny misalignment in the upper neck can really cause the entire body to be thrown off and communication to and from the brain to be hindered. We can help get things back on track and help a person get their life back.
