Last time, we began to look at the amazing case study of Dr. William Amalu of how adjustments to the upper cervical spine of a five year old boy with Cerebral Palsy led to an improvement in his overall health. We couldn’t just leave that story alone, so we wanted to come back for a second week and tell you more about the amazing results this boy enjoyed.
For those of you who didn’t have a chance to read last week’s blog, you can read that here
In that time, his mother and therapists noticed an improvement in his speech, vision, ability to sleep through the night, and many other areas. It was also noted that his seizures, as well as the severity of them, lessened.
After the fifth week of adjustments to his upper cervical spine, he was seen by a neurologist and ophthalmologist (eye surgeon). His ophthalmologist noticed his central field of vision was improved, and his neurologist noted a tremendous lessening of the affects of Cerebral Palsy. This led to his neurologist ordering a follow-up examination by his pediatrician, in which the normalization of this ears was occurred and tubes would not be necessary.
Between the seventh and twelfth weeks of care his seizures lessened, until he showed no visible signs of seizures after the 12th week of upper cervical care. The patient continued to show improvements to his health over the next 10 months, during which time his neurologist reduced his medication, and he was finally classified as non-epileptic.
The Choice to Heal
All of these results and more were because of one simple choice of the mother to do something to get to the source of her son’s suffering by seeking out the care of an upper cervical chiropractor. Her son was not able to enjoy the benefits of life to the fullest during those first five years, but luckily his mother’s choice enabled him to experience life to the fullest throughout the rest of his life.
